HOSPITALITY GOLF TOURNAMENT PUSHES GRAND FUNDRAISING TOTAL
OVER
$900,000 FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS GEORGIA
ATLANTA (Oct. 18, 2017) – Thanks to the
unrivaled combination of passionate staff and committed community members, Sterling
Hospitality – the parent company of Marlow’s
Tavern and Sterling Spoon Culinary Management – is helping some very special youth thrive with its annual Special Olympics Georgia (SOGA) golf classic. This year’s event took place Sept. 18 at Country Club of Roswell. Following the golf tournament, participants and athletes were invited to
a silent auction dinner. The day’s collective
efforts were responsible for a 2017 donation that reached almost $130,000.
Sterling Hospitality has been a proud
partner of SOGA since 1999. With this recent fundraiser, the group thrillingly pushed
the grand fundraising total over $900,000.
John C. Metz, executive chef, CEO and
co-founder of Sterling Hospitality and an active leader in the mission of SOGA,
is thrilled with the results from this year’s golf tournament.
“I look forward to this event every
year. Not only is it a fun day on the golf course, it’s also a time for our
team, the athletes and participants to come together and support this worthy
cause. I’m ecstatic over the progress we’ve made in fundraising,” Metz says.
