Atlanta-Based Taqueria Begins Southeast Expansion with First Location Outside of Georgia

ATLANTA (October 23, 2015) – Tin Lizzy’s Cantina is coming to Columbia, South Carolina, bringing its lively atmosphere, chilled margaritas and signature FlexMex flavors to a new city and the company's first location outside of its home state of Georgia. With nine locations throughout metro Atlanta and one in Augusta, Tin Lizzy's is already well-known in the Peach State as a favorite locale for fun food, fresh flavors and specialty cocktails. Now, the cantina is ready to bring the party to the Palmetto State with its 11th location opening Oct. 26 in the newly renovated Congaree Vista area of downtown Columbia.

"Opening our first Tin Lizzy's outside of Georgia is a momentous occasion for our team," says Tory Bartlett, chief executive officer of Tin Lizzy's Cantina. "We chose Columbia because of its wonderful community. Not only is it the state capitol and home of the Gamecocks, but the city's historical Vista district fits our brand perfectly.  We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, fun environment for our guests, and we look forward to serving our new neighbors in Columbia."  

The new restaurant's 4,000 square-foot space is built for friendly interaction, with multiple cozy levels and a bar as the centerpiece.  The restaurant seats 174 guests total, including a patio for outdoor dining. Tin Lizzy’s menu boasts a range of flavorful favorites, including gourmet soft tacos, perfectly shareable dips, fresh salads and sensational cast iron skillets, as well as an extensive margarita list, cleverly concocted cocktails and a diverse beer selection, including the 23-oz. pour, “El Jefe.” Catering packages are ideal for corporate meetings, tailgates, family gatherings and more. And, it wouldn’t be Tin Lizzy’s without plenty of TVs to catch all the action from favorite local and national teams.

Located at 700 Gervais Street, Tin Lizzy's Columbia is open daily at 11 a.m. for lunch, dinner and late-night dining.  Sunday through Thursday, the restaurant closes at midnight; weekend hours extend until 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
