SUBLIME DOUGHNUTS IN NORTH
DRUID HILLS EARNS KOSHER CERTIFICATION
FROM ATLANTA KOSHER
COMMISSION
Chef-Inspired Doughnut Shop Offers
Kosher Sweets for Neighboring Jewish Community
ATLANTA
(Nov. 18, 2016) – As if eating at Sublime Doughnuts
wasn’t already a divine experience, the North Druid Hills bakeshop is now also
kosher. The Atlanta
Kosher Commission (AKC) recently granted this location of Sublime Doughnuts with a
kosher certification, making the shop’s beloved doughnuts and treats such as
the A-Town Cream more accessible to those with dietary restrictions.
Located at 2566 Briarcliff Road NE in The Village at Druid Hills,
the specialty doughnut shop’s surrounding Toco Hills neighborhood has a large Orthodox
Jewish population. Sublime’s founder Kamal Grant was encouraged to seek out kosher
certification in response to customer requests.
“We have received so many questions about kosher certification
from our guests, and it’s important to us to satisfy the needs of our neighbors
and to give back to the communities where we are located,” says Grant.
“Pursuing this certification enables those who are keeping kosher to enjoy any
doughnuts, toppings, sauces, ice creams and flavored coffees sold at our North Druid
Hills restaurant.”
The Atlanta Kosher Commission is an Orthodox
community-based non-profit kosher supervising agency founded in the 1970s by
Rabbi Emanuel Feldman. The Atlanta Kashruth Commission currently certifies over
150 companies in the Southeast and beyond, including manufacturing facilities,
bakeries, supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, and caterers throughout the
country.
Sublime Doughnuts is located
in North Druid Hills at 2566 Briarcliff Road NE and in West Midtown at 535
10th Street NW. Both locations are open 24 hours a day, seven days a
week. Self-parking is available at both
locations. For more information, visit sublimedoughnuts.com,
Facebook, Twitter
and Instagram.
