2016 Sterling Hospitality Golf Tournament Raises Over $95,000 for Special Olympics Georgia

ATLANTA (Nov. 21, 2016) – Thanks to an unbeatable combination of passionate staff and committed community members, Sterling Hospitality – the parent company of Marlow’s Tavern, Sterling Spoon Culinary Management  and Aqua blue - is helping some very special youth thrive in Georgia with its annual Special Olympics Georgia (SOGA) golf classic, which took place this September. The teams’ collective efforts were responsible for a 2016 donation that topped $95,000.

Even after 18 years, John C. Metz, executive chef, CEO and co-founder of Sterling Hospitality, is no less enthusiastic about this annual golf tournament. “All you have to do is go to one SOGA event,” he says. “Once you see the smiles on the faces of the athletes as they compete, you’re hooked. That’s part of how we have been able to raise more than $730,000 over the years. It’s amazing how much can be accomplished when we all work together.”
