BULLA GASTROBAR OPENS AUG. 31
New Midtown Hotspot Serves Authentic Spanish Cuisine in a Fun, Communal Setting

ATLANTA (Aug. 25, 2017) – Bulla Gastrobar’s first Atlanta location, in the 12th & Midtown mixed-use development along Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta, opens for business on Thursday, Aug. 31. Known for its fun, communal atmosphere, imaginative cocktail program and contemporary takes on traditional Spanish tapas, Bulla (pronounced “boo-ya”) is owned by Centurion Restaurant Group and has three successful South Florida locations.

“We’re very excited to bring Bulla to Atlanta,” says Centurion Restaurant Group founder and president Carlos Centurion. “This is a world-class city for food lovers, with some of the finest restaurants anywhere. We believe our emphasis on authentic, shareable Spanish cuisine in a communal setting will make Bulla a perfect addition to Atlanta’s culinary landscape.”

Bulla takes its name for the Spanish slang term for “chatter,” which neatly encapsulates the restaurant’s relaxed atmosphere. Like the famous gastrobars of Spain that inspire it, Bulla balances a fun, easygoing environment with creative cuisine that applies contemporary innovations to traditional Spanish tapas.
The menu boasts both small plates and larger signature entrées that feed two comfortably.

Highlights include paella (Valencia-style rice, seafood, red sofrito and saffron), braised short ribs (with tetilla cheese, potato foam, cipollini onions and red wine sauce) and Iberian pork tenderloin (with sautéed apple and wild mushrooms in a rosemary demi-glace). In addition to a monthly Market Menu that showcases a rotating selection of five to six unique dishes, desserts and a cocktail of the month, Bulla also offers guests a three-course prix fixe lunch on weekdays and a three-course tasting weekend brunch menu featuring $3 mimosas on Saturday and Sunday.

An imaginative drink menu will launch shortly after the opening and include handcrafted cocktails with syrups made from scratch, top-shelf beer and wine selections and three made-to-order sangrias - traditional, sangría blanca, and sangría de cerveza. It’s all served in an animated, expansive space with an urban loft vibe inspired by the tapas bars of Barcelona and a traditional Spanish marketplace. A large gather-around bar sits center stage, establishing a community atmosphere, and a second-floor event space beckons for parties and company dinners.

In the heart of Midtown right next to the Federal Reserve Building, Bulla is a convenient destination for exceptional cuisine. Within easy walking distance of MARTA’s Midtown station, many office buildings and popular retail and entertainment options, it’s a perfect spot for quick business lunches, after-work drinks or a relaxing dinner with friends and loved ones.

Bulla Gastrobar is located at 60 11th Street NE in Midtown Atlanta and serves lunch and dinner daily, with brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Plentiful validated parking is available at 12th and Midtown. For more information, call 404-900-6926 or visit bullagastrobar.com.

Battered Up! Chef Marc Taft’s FEED Fried Chicken + Such
Opens Aug. 29 at The Battery ATLANTA
New Fast Casual Concept Adjacent to SunTrust Park Features Buckets of Fried Chicken, Southern Sides and a Full Bar

ATLANTA (Aug. 24, 2017) - Atlanta Braves fans can finally get their FEED on beginning Aug. 29 when Marc Taft, the chef and restaurateur behind Marietta’s Chicken and the Egg and Avalon’s Brine Seafood Shack, brings his signature dish and his favorite Southern sides to the popular live-work-play development adjacent to the new home of the Atlanta Braves.

Taft’s fast casual menu is a Southern fried chicken revival featuring antibiotic- and hormone-free Springer Mountain Farms chicken. There are delicious options for all appetites, from the family-friendly Bucket o’ Chicken to the grab-and-go Picnic Fried Chicken (three pieces served cold with two sides and a biscuit) and the Nashville Hot Sandwich (a spicy fried boneless breast, shredded lettuce, house pickles, Alabama white sauce on a buttered brioche bun). There are three heat levels too, from the tame Southern Fried to the Atlanta Hot to the fiery Cluck’N Inferno.

Whether you’re grabbing a bite before the game or picking up a Southern supper on the way home from work, FEED’s menu features the tastes the Alabama-born Taft grew up with straight out of his grandmother’s cast iron skillet. Sides include all-day braised greens, Southern-style green beans, black-eyed peas, house-made potato salad and of course, mac and cheese. A “For the Peeps” menu (crafted for kids 10 and under) features a pint-sized plate of fried chicken or choice of mac and cheese or grilled cheese on Texas toast.

The Battery Atlanta’s convenient open container policy makes it easy for diners to enjoy one of FEED’s Southern-inspired craft cocktails, wine or beer on the go. FEED also serves delicious handcrafted milkshakes and soft serve ice cream made exclusively with Atlanta’s own High Road Ice Cream.

From FEED’s signature neon sign, the restaurant’s roadside mural and the garage doors that open up on breezy evenings, Taft wants diners to feel at home.

“Some of my favorite childhood memories revolve around the fried chicken meals at my grandmother’s house,” says Taft. “Our goal is to be a beloved family destination with the best locally sourced poultry at a great value.”

Located at 900 Battery Avenue S.E. FEED is open Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more information, visit eatatfeed.com.

STORICO FRESCO ALIMENTARI E RISTORANTE OWNER/CHEF MIKE PATRICK SEEKS INSPIRATION IN ITALY, ILLUSTRATES DELICIOUS JOURNEY ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Buckhead Market and Restaurant’s Pastaiolo Feeds Atlanta with Flavors
Unearthed in Rome, Rimini and Ponte Rosso

ATLANTA (August 18, 2017) – Storico Fresco Alimentari e Ristorante’s co-owner and culinary director Mike Patrick is known for bringing a genuine supply of all things Italian to Atlanta and continues to go above and beyond (literally!) to find authentic inspiration for his dishes. This time he has documented his travels with a photo journal on Instagram so followers can share in the journey.

From visiting experimental growth farms to sipping squid ink cappuccinos to revisiting classic dishes like fritto misto, Patrick delves into what makes each of his meals in Italy so memorable by penning culinary love notes through photo captions like a modern-day Romeo.

His research begins in the Eternal City, where he dines at Secondo Tradizione, enjoys the best meat and cheese board selection in the city and savors the distinctly heady, porky flavors found in carbonara. In Ponte Rosso, a small town just outside Rimini, he meets a “mind numbing” cappelletti in brodo and then puts on his swim trunks and takes to the beach to experience cookouts using local provisions, cooking baby crabs with tomatoes and tossing the mixture with strozzapreti and baby clams. In Rimini, Patrick revels in a Michelin-starred meal at Guido, admiring the restaurant’s grounded culinary viewpoint from crudo pizza to the “Adriatic depth and flavor” of spaghetti alle ostriche to the cuttlefish cappuccino topped with squid ink dust, which Patrick dubs “a mind bender.”

Guests can view a slideshow of his photographs highlighted with commentary from Patrick’s travel diary and personal insight into how he will interpret these beloved Italian dishes for diners at Storico Fresco. Then they can look forward to tasting menu selections influenced by Patrick’s recent Italian travels on upcoming lunch and dinner menus and in the prepared foods market in the fall.  Patrick will be returning to Italy mid-September to find inspiration once again.

Storico Fresco Alimentari e Ristorante is located at 3167 Peachtree Road NE, Suite S in Buckhead. The restaurant is open for lunch (11:30 am to 5:30 pm) and dinner (5:30 pm to 10 pm) Monday through Saturday; the market is open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm. Reservations are available for the restaurant and are recommended. Ample self-parking is available onsite in both the front and rear lots, and valet parking is offered Thursday through Saturday. For additional information, call (404) 500-2181 or visit storicofresco.com. For additional updates, follow the restaurant on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
