Midtown’s New Favorite Spot for Tapas and Spanish Cuisine Debuts Catalan-Style Cannelloni and Seasonal Dinner Menu of Bold Spring Flavors
Midtown’s New Favorite Spot for Tapas and Spanish Cuisine Debuts Catalan-Style Cannelloni and Seasonal Dinner Menu of Bold Spring Flavors
ATLANTA (March 28, 2018) – At Bulla Gastrobar, the new spring season delivers more than warm temperatures and refreshing breezes. On March 28, Atlanta’s favorite dining spot for authentic, contemporary tapas is rolling out a brand-new dish - Catalan-style cannelloni - as well as a seasonal spring dinner menu packed with bold flavors. All are perfect for enjoying in Bulla Gastrobar’s lively, communal atmosphere inspired by the famous gastrobars of Spain.
“Spring is a time of renewal, and these new menu items reflect that,” says Centurion Restaurant Group founder and president Carlos Centurion. “We’re especially proud of our cannelloni, an inspired take on the national dish of Barcelona. It was a very popular dish at my family’s restaurant in Miami, so it carries a lot of nostalgia for me. Our guests are going to love it and our exciting new spring menu items, as well.”
Each order of the cannelloni comes with three tubes of authentic Spanish pasta filled with soft cream cheese and a very “Bulla” mix of ground veal, beef and pork cooked with spices and cheese for a robust flavor. It is topped with a homemade béchamel sauce and tetilla cheese, then garnished with paprika bread crumbs for a crunchy finish. Price is $15 for lunch and $17 for dinner.
Additionally, the limited-time spring menu boasts the following tantalizing options available at dinner only:
· Tosta de Setas ($9): Toasted pan del cristal topped with a thin layer of ricotta cheese, sautéed cremini and Portobello mushrooms; drizzled with a Pedro Ximénez glaze and garnished with parsley.
· Grilled peach salad ($14.50): Arugula and artisan lettuce tossed with a light citrus dressing and grilled fresh peaches with seasoned EVOO; topped with cured Serrano ham and burrata cheese, then drizzled with a Pedro Ximénez glaze.
· Roasted oysters ($16): A half-dozen oysters topped with a compound butter consisting of lemon, garlic, leeks and a hint of Tabasco, then roasted in the oven.
· Costillas Pedro Ximénez ($14): Tender, fall-off-the-bone St. Louis pork ribs slowly cooked for four hours, then glazed with a Pedro Ximénez wine reduction. Served with a side of pickled vegetables (carrots, cucumber, asparagus, guindilla and red onions). This is a tapas-style dish, served with four ribs per order.
· Canarian cheese spread, “Almogrote” ($9): This traditional tapa from the small island of La Gomera in the Canary Islands is made with whipped Mahón and cream cheese mixed with guindilla peppers, cayenne pepper and smoked paprika; served with crostini.
In the heart of Midtown right next to the Federal Reserve Building, Bulla Gastrobar is located at 60 11th Street NE and serves lunch and dinner Monday-Friday, with brunch and dinner service on Saturday and Sunday.
