ATLANTA (March 2015) – Classic meals, like classic movies, are held in high regard and remembered for years to come. Fans of both, Bantam + Biddy co-owners Shaun Doty and Lance Gummere are rolling out the red carpet at their Crescent Avenue location to host a fundraising dinner for the Atlanta Film Festival on March 12 at 7 p.m. Critics are sure to praise the four-course dinner and opening reception.
“The Atlanta Film Festival is a gem,” says Doty, an avid movie fan and festival participant. “Not only does the community get to view award-winning caliber films, they also have an opportunity to meet and listen to the filmmakers. The festival, which runs this year from March 20 – 29, offers food for thought. We’re offering thoughtful food.”
For the preview, reception guests will enjoy steamed pork buns with mustard seed oil and kimchi purée; beef tartare with bourbon-smoked paprika, pine nuts and cured pastured egg yolk; and pimento cheese hush puppies with wasabi honey. The four-course, family-style feature presentation includes Sardinian flatbread with arugula, argan oil and ricotta salata; pastured chicken livers with date agnolotti and Marsala; oxtail Parmentier with roasted spring Vidalia onions; and Feast of San Gennaro-style zeppole with bourbon caramel sauce.

Bantam + Biddy Crescent is located at 12th & Midtown at 1050 Crescent Avenue. Parking is available in the 1010 Midtown parking garage, which can be entered on Crescent Avenue, and the first two hours of parking are free.
