Executive Chef Derek Dollar Shares Bountiful Harvest from Milton’s Acre Beginning May 21

ATLANTA (March 31, 2017) – Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails launched its popular Garden Dinner Series in 2013, and the al fresco evenings have grown into one of the most sought-after tickets in town. Executive chef Derek Dollar loves sharing straight-from-the-vine dining experiences from Milton’s Acre, the restaurant’s 1-acre garden, and is excited to announce this year’s spring and fall dates for the series, which kicks off May 21. Dinners on June 4, Sept. 24 and Oct. 15 round out the year.

“We have about 90 different varieties of heirloom fruits, vegetables and herbs growing in Milton’s Acre, and every spring we look forward to setting the garden table to share the harvest with our guests,” says Dollar. “It’s always a beautiful night when you’re dining under the stars.”  

The evenings begin with passed hors d’oeuvres and libations, as well as an opportunity to tour Milton's Acre. Then, the soothing sounds of a cellist play alongside a memorable four-course meal of inspired comfort foods served family style and accompanied by wine pairings. Menu items may include delicate squash blossoms stuffed with prosciutto and cream cheese or pimiento cheese and crawfish; or roast duckling with fingerling sweet potatoes, oyster mushrooms, heirloom snap beans and candied pecan apple butter.  

The Garden Dinners begin at 6 p.m., and tickets are $125 per person, per dinner. Popular Seed-to-Fork Restaurant Now Serving Selection of Prime Steaks

ATLANTA (March 30, 2017) – Loyal guests and fans of Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails already know the charming restaurant located in the historic district of Crabapple is a cut above the competition, and now there are new items on the menu to prove it. Milton’s executive chef Derek Dollar is launching his new daily Prime Cuts menu March 30, featuring meat from local meat processor and distributor Revere Meat Co.

“We’ve wanted to introduce a steak section to our menu at Milton’s for quite a while now, and the timing was finally right,” says Dollar. “Revere focuses on exceptional quality, and we are using these fine aged meats to create a menu of prime cuts that will wow any steak connoisseur.”

The new selections include the following:
6 oz. prime filet mignon, aged 35 days ($32)
9 oz. prime filet mignon, aged 35 days ($45)
14 oz. prime grass fed Delmonico rib-eye, aged 35 days ($42)
16 oz. dry aged bone-in NY strip, aged 60 days ($48)
Milton’s signature wagyu flank steak, aged 35 days ($28)

Guests can choose from a red wine veal jus, hollandaise or duxelles truffle butter. A jumbo lump crab cake Oscar may be added to any steak for $14.

Enjoy Half-Price Appetizers and Specials at All Three Locations

ATLANTA (March 29, 2017) – Ray’s Restaurants, known for hand-cut steaks and fresh, delicious seafood, also wins raves as the city’s top spots for after-work dinner and drinks. Each of Ray’s three signature locations has updated its happy hour offerings, emphasizing appetizing bar bites delivered with the same high quality ingredients and attention to detail that devoted diners have come to expect.

At Ray’s on the River in Sandy Springs and Ray’s at Killer Creek in Alpharetta, guests can enjoy $1 oysters on the half shell and half-price appetizers including:

ATLANTA (March 28, 2017) – Ray Schoenbaum, the founder of Ray’s Restaurants, is now offering a one-stop party spot with the launch of Ray’s Rio Bravo Events, just in time for wedding and graduation season. The special events venue provides a catering menu filled with the high-end, made-from-scratch Tex-Mex cuisine that Ray’s Rio Bravo is known for in a festive space that features a large bar and both indoor and outdoor dining areas.

Guests can feast on a buffet from the Ray’s Rio Bravo menu or a Ray’s on the River plated meal or buffet (a buffet menu is required for groups of 75 or more). The Ray’s Rio Bravo menu features the option of a taco bar buffet ($24.95 per person) or a grilled fajita bar buffet ($31.95 per person) along with enhancements such as quesadillas, mini burritos, enchiladas and desserts.

To wash it all down, Ray’s Rio Bravo Events offers three levels of bar packages at its main bar area: Casa Bar Package (includes bottled beer, house margaritas and house liquors), Bravo Bar Package (includes bottled beer, house margaritas and call liquors) and Premium Brand Bar Package (includes bottled beer, Texas margaritas, premium liquors and wines by the glass). All open bar packages include unlimited soda, iced tea and coffee, and additional satellite bars are available for a fee.

The festive cantina décor features dark wood, concrete floors, warm wood paneling and exposed brick accented with bright pops of color. Indoors, a large bar and a casual dining and dancing space creates convivial environs, while 2 large patios overlooking a pond keeps the party going outdoors. The event space accommodates parties of 50 to 275 guests and is available for buyouts with food and drink minimums ranging from $2,500 to $5,000, depending on meal time and day of the week. The arrangement of additional rental items such as specialty linen, floral and décor can be arranged through the events manager for an additional charge.

Midtown Restaurant Partners with Local Breweries to Host Monthly Events on Rooftop Patio

ATLANTA (March 23, 2017) –5Church is helping Atlantans explore offerings from Georgia breweries with its new Tap Takeover series beginning on Thursday, April 6. The new series takes place the first Thursday of the month from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and highlights four beers from a featured brewery beginning with Monday Night Brewing in April. These beers are served as a flight of four ($20) or as single pints ($7) and are available only on the rooftop patio.

“Local sourcing is just as important to us for our beverage selection as it is for our cuisine,” says 5Church managing partner Ayman Kamel. “The breweries we’ve chosen to partner with for our Tap Takeover series are local brands that are in high demand by our guests and are Atlanta-owned companies that we are proud to support as part of the city’s restaurant community.”

The following beers are on tap from Monday Night Brewing on April 6: Slap Fight (American IPA), Blind Pirate Blood Orange IPA, Nerd Alert (Pseudo Pilsner) and Serrano Eye Patch Ale (American IPA). Monday Night Brewing market manager Kelsey Daniels will be in attendance to mingle with guests and discuss the beers offered that evening.

During the monthly Tap Takeover events, which are scheduled through September to take advantage of the city’s prime patio weather, a menu of small plates are available, as well as other beers, wine and cocktails.

Each week, Sublime owner Kamal Grant films a new episode featuring a spinning Wheel O’ Doughnuts with a selection of wacky flavor options (think Hot Cheetos, roses and spring rolls). Grant creates the custom flavored doughnut chosen in the previous week’s episode on camera for viewers, taste tests it and then spins the wheel to select the next far-out flavor.

There’s a new creation every Monday, and guests can purchase the featured flavor at his West Midtown store each week to taste for themselves. “We’re in the happiness business,” says Grant. “Turning our funky flavors into a game show seemed like a great way to make our guests smile, and it certainly keeps me creatively challenged.”

Grant has already developed Starburst and lotion flavored doughnuts in March, proving he’s capable of making just about anything taste delicious.
