THE REGENT COCKTAIL CLUB TOPS OFF SUCCESSFUL FIRST YEAR
AND WELCOMES CELEBRATED NEW HEAD BARTENDER
Himitsu alumnus Ben Yabrow Mixing New Drinks with Classic Service and Rooftop Sophistication

ATLANTA (Oct. 19, 2017) - For The Regent Cocktail Club’s new head bartender Ben Yabrow, each cocktail should tell a story. And as the sophisticated rooftop cocktail lounge celebrates its first anniversary in Buckhead this fall, Yabrow and his mixology team are ready to tell many new stories for Atlanta’s discriminating drinkers.

Yabrow, who recently helmed the beverage program at Buckhead speakeasy Himitsu under the tutelage of mixology master Shingo Gokan, is now bringing his expertise and creativity to The Regent’s loyal customer base.

“Our focus is what’s in the glass,” says Yabrow. “For our guests, The Regent is a place where they are introduced to something new in a relaxed environment with a knowledgeable staff.”

Guest favorites on the anniversary celebration cocktail menu include the Black Dahlia, made with Tito’s Homemade Vodka, elderflower, blackberry and lemon; a Sazerac blending rye whiskey, cognac, demerara, absinthe and bitters; the Junglebird shaken with rum, Campari, pineapple and lime; and the Pineapple (serves two) concocted with elyx, pineapple Montenegro, allspice and orgeat.

As regulars already know, Yabrow and his bartending staff like to ask first-time guests about their spirits and taste preferences to serve each guest the perfect cocktail. “It’s important to tailor drinks to each guest’s liking,” says Yabrow. “Once we have an idea of what they’re looking for, we focus on creating the right balance of flavors with an array of spirits and fresh ingredients.”

Guests can also peruse a carefully curated selection of bubbles, rosés, reds and whites by the glass or bottle from the wine list and creatively selected craft beers from local and regional microbreweries.

As the rooftop crown jewel of American Cut Buckhead, The Regent’s guests enjoy a special bar menu created by executive chef John Adamson. Bar bites include tuna poke with avocado, radishes and pine nuts; honey Sriracha wings; and Wagyu beef sliders with beer cheese.

Overseeing the first anniversary celebrations downstairs in American Cut and upstairs in The Regent, general manager Jason Babb is committed to making year two even more successful. Says Babb: “Throughout our first year, our guests have embraced us and offered invaluable feedback on the elements of what makes a memorable evening out. As we enter our second year, we’re more dedicated than ever to serving loyal and new guests alike with a great steak and a handcrafted cocktail.”

The Regent Cocktail Club is located on the third level of American Cut Buckhead at 3035 Peachtree Road NE in The Shops Buckhead Atlanta. Hours are Monday-Thursday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday from 5 p.m. to midnight. ABOUT THE REGENT COCKTAIL CLUB
In 2012, LDV Hospitality launched the first Regent Cocktail Club with great buzz in Miami Beach at the boutique Gale Hotel. In 2013, The Regent was recognized as one of the Top Ten Hotel Bars in the World at the ‘Tales of the Cocktail’ Awards in New Orleans. In the summer of 2015, LDV opened its second outpost in the Hamptons at the historic Gurney’s Resort and Spa in Montauk. Returning to the simplicity and elegance that surrounded the original Regent that opened in 1941, The Regent Cocktail Club joined Atlanta’s cocktail scene on the third level of American Cut in 2016. The finishes to the space are industrial and raw yet come together in a refined fashion.  A mix of polished concrete floor and bar with Brazilian ipe wood walls, juxtaposed with an eclectic mix of mid-century modern living room style lounge groupings and fully operable French doors with a stunning view of the Atlanta skyline, makes for an inviting ambiance ideal for groups to mingle and indulge in signature cocktails.
