Battered Up! Chef Marc Taft’s FEED Fried Chicken + Such
Opens Aug. 29 at The Battery ATLANTA
New Fast Casual Concept Adjacent to SunTrust Park Features Buckets of Fried Chicken, Southern Sides and a Full Bar

ATLANTA (Aug. 24, 2017) - Atlanta Braves fans can finally get their FEED on beginning Aug. 29 when Marc Taft, the chef and restaurateur behind Marietta’s Chicken and the Egg and Avalon’s Brine Seafood Shack, brings his signature dish and his favorite Southern sides to the popular live-work-play development adjacent to the new home of the Atlanta Braves.

Taft’s fast casual menu is a Southern fried chicken revival featuring antibiotic- and hormone-free Springer Mountain Farms chicken. There are delicious options for all appetites, from the family-friendly Bucket o’ Chicken to the grab-and-go Picnic Fried Chicken (three pieces served cold with two sides and a biscuit) and the Nashville Hot Sandwich (a spicy fried boneless breast, shredded lettuce, house pickles, Alabama white sauce on a buttered brioche bun). There are three heat levels too, from the tame Southern Fried to the Atlanta Hot to the fiery Cluck’N Inferno.

Whether you’re grabbing a bite before the game or picking up a Southern supper on the way home from work, FEED’s menu features the tastes the Alabama-born Taft grew up with straight out of his grandmother’s cast iron skillet. Sides include all-day braised greens, Southern-style green beans, black-eyed peas, house-made potato salad and of course, mac and cheese. A “For the Peeps” menu (crafted for kids 10 and under) features a pint-sized plate of fried chicken or choice of mac and cheese or grilled cheese on Texas toast.

The Battery Atlanta’s convenient open container policy makes it easy for diners to enjoy one of FEED’s Southern-inspired craft cocktails, wine or beer on the go. FEED also serves delicious handcrafted milkshakes and soft serve ice cream made exclusively with Atlanta’s own High Road Ice Cream.

From FEED’s signature neon sign, the restaurant’s roadside mural and the garage doors that open up on breezy evenings, Taft wants diners to feel at home.

“Some of my favorite childhood memories revolve around the fried chicken meals at my grandmother’s house,” says Taft. “Our goal is to be a beloved family destination with the best locally sourced poultry at a great value.”

Located at 900 Battery Avenue S.E. FEED is open Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more information, visit eatatfeed.com.
